Life Story
Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee (just down the gravel road from the Oak Ridge Boys), Megan moved to Florida at 10 and began acting and modeling at 13, winning several awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention—which, as conventions go, sure beats the one you slept through in Dayton. At 15, she made her film debut in the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen tween comdey Holiday in the Sun. She followed that with roles in What I Like About You (Amanda Bynes, Jennie Garth) and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen—in which she confessed to not totally digging the drama-queen shenanigans of costar Lindsay Lohan.
More recently, the blue-eyed brunette has sitcommed it up opposite Kelly Ripa in Hope & Faith, and served as the out-of-his-league love interest to Shia LaBeouf in the summer Michael Bay-buster Transformers (Rachael Taylor).
She got engaged to former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Brian Austin Green in 2006, then called off the engagement, but the two remained a couple. Then they broke up for 10 minutes in February 2009 before moving into a luxury apartment building in Santa Monica together in May 2009. Megan explained their complicated relationship: "I'm not going to be married - I'm not the marrying type. I am impulsive and I love my boyfriend, but I have no plans of getting married any time soon."
In an October 2008 GQ magazine interview, Megan revealed that she once sought to establish some form of a relationship with a female stripper, then an object of her infatuation, when she was 18 and first living by herself in Los Angeles.
"Well, that year my boyfriend broke up with me, and I decided - oh man, sorry, mommy! - that I was in love with this girl that worked at the Body Shop. I decided that I was going to get her to love me back, and I went out of my way to create a relationship with this girl, a stripper named Nikita." But Fox insisted she is not a lesbian. "I just think that all humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes. I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl - Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands. She's mesmerizing. And lately I've been obsessed with Jenna Jameson, but ... oh boy." Oh boy indeed!
Megan shared the big screen with Kirsten Dunst, Simon Pegg and Jeff Daniels in the 2008 comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. We’re guessing Rule #1 was "Don’t look like Megan Fox." Most recently she reprised her role as Mikaela Banes in Michael Bay's sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, making ample use of her illustrious rear-end (Thank you, Mr. Bay).
Tattoos
She possesses half a dozen tattoos—that we know about! Megan explains some of her tats... "a poem I wrote on my ribcage and a symbol for strength on my neck and my boyfriend Brian’s name tattooed next to my pie". She also has Marilyn Monroe on her forearm, a star on her ankle and on her shoulder she has the line “We will all laugh at gilded butterflies” from Shakespear's King Lear.
Jennifer's Body Nude Scene
While Megan Fox was filming Jennifer's Body in Vancouver Canada Megan was caught on film during a topless scene which was subsequently spread across the internet. This scene was eventually removed from the final cut and there was speculation this was simply a publicity stunt.
Future Work
She will also star with some bigger names like Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in the 2010 Western Jonah Hex. Other roles include Ironclad in 2009, Passion Plays in 2010 and The Crossing in 2011.
